The latest episode of Bear Grylls Is Running Wild airs Tuesday, May 19, at 9 p.m. ET on FOX
Michelle Monaghanis no stranger to tackling stunts throughout her career, and her latest onscreen appearance is no different.
In PEOPLE's exclusive preview of Monaghan's stint onBear Grylls Is Running Wild, the actress, 50, is tasked with traversing across a ravine by rope in the Great Basin Desert — and she doesn't hesitate to make the leap.
"I'm a little nervous," Monaghan tells the camera after hostBear Gryllsasks how she's feeling.
"He's over there going, 'Ya feeling good?' Like, all chipper and stuff. Yeah, I'm feeling great!" she jokes.
Grylls, 51, then encourages his guest to "protect" her head when she drops over the edge of the mountain and keep her fingers "away from the pulley."
"Oh boy," Monaghan whispers, before looking over the ledge. "Oh, God. Here we go. OK."
After a three-second countdown, theMission: Impossibleactress yells, "I'm coming for you, Bear" and leaps over the ledge, as she begins to zip across the ravine. At one point, things slow down, leaving her temporarily stuck in the sky.

"Oh, man," she says, "I'm a little nervous."
The new episode ofBear Grylls Is Running Wild, which arrives on Tuesday, May 19, finds theWhite Lotusalum on an "action-packed adventure with a trek through the Great Basin Desert," per a synopsis. The series itself follows the famed adventurer as he's joined by celebrities for exciting journeys in the wilderness. Its latest season has already featured appearances fromUma Thurman, MGK, Tiffany Haddish and more.

"I think it's different to a chat show, where you sit on a sofa and its performers for three minutes who tell a story, promote a movie. This is different," Grylls toldFox Newsin April. "You're out there together. You're crossing rivers and climbing cliffs and chasing snakes. You get to look each other in the whites of your eyes. And by the time you sit by the campfire in the evening ... nature does my job for me."
He added, "Like I said, it opens people up. I think a lot of these stars, they don't need the money, they don't need the fame. They want the experience of what the wild can give you."
